Cran-Max® with Bio-Shield® Technology
Cran-Max® is produced using a proprietary 34:1 process — 34 pounds of fresh cranberries yield one pound of concentrate — preserving the skin, seeds, pulp, and juice of the whole fruit rather than an isolated extract.[2] Its patented Bio-Shield® delivery system is designed to protect the cranberry's proanthocyanidins (PACs) and anthocyanins from degradation by stomach acid, supporting their release further along the digestive tract.[2] Research on A-type PACs — the specific class cranberries are rich in — indicates they may help inhibit certain bacteria from adhering to the urinary tract wall, supporting the body's own ability to clear them during normal urination.†[1,2]

Flowens™ Full-Spectrum Cranberry
Flowens™ was named "Ingredient of the Year — Healthy Ageing" at the 2020 NutraIngredients Awards, recognizing the strength of its published clinical evidence.[3] In a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial of 124 men over age 45, six months of daily Flowens™ produced a dose-dependent reduction in lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS), measured via the International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS) — a validated clinical instrument. At the 250 mg dose used in this formula, IPSS scores fell by an average of 3.1 points versus 1.5 for placebo; the 500 mg dose produced a larger, more statistically robust effect.[4] Separate, smaller research in women has explored Flowens™ for overactive bladder symptoms at a 500 mg dose — double what this formula contains — with encouraging but more preliminary results.[5]

D-Mannose
D-Mannose is a simple sugar found naturally in many fruits and produced in small amounts by the human body. Unlike an antibacterial agent, it is thought to work mechanically: certain bacteria use finger-like structures called fimbriae to grip the urinary tract lining, and D-Mannose is believed to bind to those same structures instead, allowing the bacteria to be flushed out during normal urination rather than taking hold.†[6] Because it is filtered through the kidneys largely unmetabolized, it complements cranberry's PAC-based mechanism rather than duplicating it.

Published in World Journal of Urology (Vidlar et al., 2016). No significant effect on clinical chemistry or hematology markers was observed, consistent with a favorable safety profile.[4] As with any single trial, replication in larger, more diverse cohorts strengthens confidence in a finding — this is one well-conducted study, not a settled consensus.
