About the Owners
Raymond Herrera’s career spans multiple industries including music, video games, beverage and distribution, and international exporting.
Paula Rae Herrera has been in and around the natural products industry for over 30 years. She has been shopping at Mrs. Gooch’s since she was about 15, with her own money, and has been taking high-quality supplements since she was 16. She has continued educating herself through a wide community of books, articles, and doctors. She started working in the industry in 2007, and it grew into a solid career — from 2013 she was Erewhon’s nutrition manager and buyer, where she opened the company’s second store in Calabasas. She re-met Raymond, and together they moved up to the Central Coast in 2015, where she helped manage the Vitamin & Herb Stores and began her education toward a Ph.D. in Nutrition Science.
The couple started a brokerage business named 3volution Organics in 2015 as a California regional broker in the organics industry, expanding it into a national brokerage in less than three years. In the third quarter of 2021, Raymond and Paula also acquired the skincare company Bodyceuticals. In March of 2022, they took over Vitamin & Herb Stores and renamed it AlchePharma Naturals — again, with the goal of helping build community.
The couple owns three companies: AlchePharma Naturals, 3volution Organics, and Bodyceuticals Skincare.
