    N-acetyl cysteine (NAC) 600mg Active w/ Co-Factors L-Selenomethione and Molybdenum

Contains synergistic ingredients that help support normal, healthy liver detoxification and provide antioxidant protection.* 600 mg of NAC Includes cofactors selenium and molybdenum. Vegetarian capsule Gluten free N-acetyl cysteine (NAC) is a source of the amino acid cysteine. The body is capable of making limited quantities of cysteine, which is used to manufacture the body’s most powerful naturally made antioxidant, glutathione. Glutathione is an important component of antioxidant enzymes, as well as an essential component of the liver’s detoxification processes. NAC has been shown to be more efficient at supporting higher glutathione levels than supplemental glutathione itself. NAC helps protect the liver from the potentially harmful effects of free radicals which are generated during metabolism, found in our environment, and those derived from the metabolism of alcohol and certain medications. Selenium and molybdenum are included as essential cofactors.*   Benefits: N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC) serves as a source of cysteine required for the liver’s synthesis of glutathione. Glutathione is a powerful antioxidant which helps neutralize free radicals produced during the first phase of liver detoxification. Glutathione is also needed during phase 2 liver detoxification. In this phase various chemical intermediates produced in phase 1 are chemically bound to specific amino acids and then prepared for excretion via the kidneys (urine). If there is inadequate glutathione toxic chemicals can accumulate causing liver damage and damage to healthy cells.* NAC has been shown in studies to help protect the liver from the damaging effects of drug and or alcohol toxicity.* Selenium is an important cofactor for the production of glutathione peroxidase, an enzyme made in the liver that helps neutralize toxic free radicals.* Molybdenum is an essential cofactor for the phase 2 detoxification process known as sulfation. This process, through the use of sulfur containing compound such as glutathione, taurine and SAMe, helps to detoxify sulfur containing chemicals found in food additives, drugs and the environment, all of which can be potentially harmful to the body.* Label

L-Leucine, L-Isoleucine, and L-Valine, commonly known as Branched Chain Amino Acids or BCAAs, cannot be produced by the body and must be consumed through diet or dietary supplements. They are essential to building and maintaining muscle tissue and have long been used by athletes and other active individuals to activate protein synthesis and reduce muscle breakdown caused by intense training or physical activity.Vegetarian BCAA 1,000 mg- Branch Chain Amino Acids with Glutamine and B VitaminsBCAA's and Glutamine are essential to building and maintaining muscle tissue.BCAA's activate protein synthesis and reduce muscle breakdown caused by intense training or physical activity.Glutamine is the most abundant building block of protein in the body. The body can make enough glutamine for its regular needs. But during times of extreme stress (i.e. after intense exercise or an injury), your body may need more glutamine than it can make. Glutamine plays a major role in helping your muscles repair themselves after stressPubChem notes that one of the main roles L-glutamine plays in muscle recovery is moving nitrogen atoms from wherever they are to where they are needed. To build muscle, you need to maintain a positive nitrogen balance. After a heavy workout, rushing nitrogen to your damaged muscles stimulates tissue repair. If glutamine is lacking in the body, the damaged tissue may stay damaged because it doesn't have the materials to rebuild. Label

  • L-Glutamine 100% Pure Free Form Powder - No Other Ingredients-amino acid-AlchePharma L-Glutamine 100% Pure Free Form Powder - No Other Ingredients-amino acid-AlchePharma

L-Glutamine 100% Pure Free Form Powder - No Other Ingredients

L-Glutamine is a “conditionally” essential amino acid. The average healthy person can usually make enough glutamine to meet biological needs. A shortage of glutamine may arise when there is disease, injury or other physiological abnormality that increases the body’s requirement for glutamine. Glutamine is essential for the metabolism, structure, and function of the gastrointestinal tract and its associated immune component.* Glutamine serves as a major source of fuel for the cells that line the intestinal tract, helping to maintain their normal, healthy function.* Immune cells require glutamine to help function properly. During times of physical stress and disease i.e. lifting weights, cancer, severe burns, an individual’s requirement for glutamine increases dramatically. Providing the body with glutamine as L-glutamine helps maintain lean muscle mass, helps the healing process and supports the body during all types of physical stress.* Features: Our L-glutamine is the highest quality, pharmaceutical grade, free form L-glutamine available. It comes in a convenient powdered form which makes it easy to take the higher doses required by many individuals. Free form (predigested and ready to be used by the body) L-glutamine 5,000mg per scoop   Benefits: L-glutamine is known as a conditionally-essential amino acid, meaning that the body is capable of making it, but in certain conditions and disease states, the body can’t make enough to meet biological requirements. L-glutamine is the most abundant amino acid found in the blood and serves as a major source of fuel for the cells that line the intestinal tract.* L-glutamine is essential for a normal, healthy immune system (of which about 1/3 resides in the GI tract) and during infection glutamine requirements increase.* During trauma, glutamine requirements increase several-fold. If requirements are not met, the body will begin to breakdown muscle tissue (high glutamine content) as a source of glutamine. This is one of the reasons why severe trauma and or illness result in a significant loss of mean muscle mass and bodyweight. Higher amounts of L-glutamine must be provided during trauma or illness in supplemental form, as it is difficult to get the necessary amounts through diet alone.   SUGGESTED USE:  As a Dietary Supplement, adults take one scoop in eight ounces of water, one (1) to three (3) times daily, or as directed by a health care professional.   Ingredients

Acetyl L-Carnitine- 500 mg Vegetarian Capsules

    1 review

Acetyl-l-carnitine is a natural compound found in the brain. Unfortunately, as we age levels begin to decline. Acetyl-l-carnitine helps support energy production in the brain and helps support healthy levels of important brain chemicals such as neurotransmitters needed for memory, focus and learning. Acetyl-l-carnitine has a distinct advantage over L-carnitine when it comes to supporting healthy brain function. Acetyl-l-carnitine is able to pass the very selective blood-brain barrier more efficiently than L-carnitine, and therefore play more of a role in brain health.   Features Provides 500 mg of acetyl-l-carnitine per serving. Essential molecule for supporting healthy brain function.† Easy to swallow vegetarian capsule.   Benefits Acetyl-l-carnitine serves as a source of acetyl groups that contribute to the production of acetyl-CoA. Acetyl-Co-A is essential to the production of energy within the cell.† Acetyl-l-carnitine can also serve as a source of acetyl groups for the synthesis of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine; a compound involved in virtually all brain functions.† Acetyl-l-carnitine has also been shown to protect nerve cells against free radical damage, support cellular glutathione production, promote healthy CoQ10 levels and offer special protection to healthy brain cells.† Acetyl-l-carnitine helps support and protect the mitochondria-the energy powerhouse of the cell. Without healthy mitochondria, all cells, particularly those of the nervous system, would not function properly leading to cell damage and eventual cell death.† Significant research on acetyl-l-carnitine exists, demonstrating its ability to support cellular energy production, provide antioxidant support helping to protect healthy cells and, most importantly, protect mitochondrial function and support overall cellular metabolism.†   LABEL

Carnipure is the purest form of Carnitine and is both heat and pH stable. Ingredients: CarnipureTM *** 1,100 mg ** (L-Carnitine), Pantothenic Acid 10 mg  (as calcium pantothenate) Purified water, glycerin, hydroxy-citric acid, natural flavors, citric acid, and sodium benzoateL-carnitine's role in fat metabolism can be easily summarized: Carnipure turns stored fat into energy.More precisely, L-carnitine is essential for transporting long-chain fatty acids across the mitochondrial membrane, for subsequent fat breakdown and energy generationAdditional Health BenefitsDue to its fundamental role in energy metabolism, L-carnitine is typically used by the body to support functions that have a high energy demand. In this sense, L-carnitine supplementation plays a role in heart health, male fertility, healthy aging, as well as for infants, pregnant women, and vegetarians.Carnipure: EnergyCarnipure L-Carnitine is the nutrient needed to help support the conversion of fat into metabolic energy. Studies suggest Carnipure L-Carnitine can be used to sustain energy, as its main metabolic function is to transport long-chain fatty acids into the mitochondrial matrix for beta-oxidation.   Our Research Reviews In the latest study, the scientists measured levels of LAC (acetyl-L-carnitine) in blood samples taken from people diagnosed with MDD. They found that levels were significantly decreased in these patients, as compared to age-matched individuals without depression. Additional analysis revealed that patients with very low LAC exhibited more severe depression and were more likely to develop MDD early in life. Finally, the researchers found that decreased LAC was associated with having a history of childhood trauma and treatment-resistant depression, particularly in women. #acetyllcarnitine #depression #supplement Carla Nasca, Benedetta Bigio, Francis S. Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, 2018; 201801609 DOI: 10.1073/pnas.1801609115   How does L-carnitine maintain the normal structure of sciatic nerve in crush injury? - Several studies have demonstrated that L-carnitine exhibits neuroprotective effects on injured sciatic nerve of rats with diabetes mellitus. Dr. Ümmü Zeynep Avsar, Faculty of Medicine, Ataturk University, Turkey and his team proposed a hypothesis that L-carnitine exhibits neuroprotective effects on injured sciatic nerve of rats. Rat sciatic nerve was crush injured by a forceps and exhibited degenerative changes. After intragastric administration of 50 and 100 mg/kg L-carnitine for 30 days, axon area, myelin sheath area, axon diameter, myelin sheath diameter, and numerical density of the myelinated axons of injured sciatic nerve were similar to normal, and the function of injured sciatic nerve also improved significantly. These findings suggest that L-carnitine exhibits neuroprotective effects on sciatic nerve crush injury in rats. This paper was published in Neural Regeneration Research (Vol. 9, No. 10, 2014).
