Description
"This product was born out of a personal necessity for our daughters diaper rashes and eczema. We had tried other products that never seemed to help and I refused to apply steroid cream to her sensitive skin. In my research as an herbalist I knew the healing powers of manuka honey so I created this blend with other powerful skin soothing ingredients to bring you the ultimate salve. This salve is a nutritious living food for your skin to aid in healing, reducing inflammation, redness and uncomfortable itching. This salve is also amazing for cuts, rashes, burns, and acne. This is our go to salve for pretty much....everything. This salve will NOT heal the root cause of eczema as eczema is a complicated issue that can be related to a gut or food sensitivity issue. This salve helps to sooth redness and irritation associated with several skin issues."
"I want to be sure to add that the smell of this salve is....unique. One local customer says it smells like freshly sharpened pencils! I agree! The black seed oil, which is absolutely necessary to speed healing, has a very strong odor but is covered up mostly by the other ingredients but it still comes through. Once applied to the skin the smell fades very quickly and does not linger. This salve can also be slightly sticky due to the honey, but not overly sticky. The salve stays on the skin for quite a while, bringing it's healing effect for hours."

Manuka Honey (UMF 16+):
Manuka Honey is made up of several compounds that are found only in the honey from New Zealand's native manuka bush. Application of Manuka honey to the skin is thought to help skin issues for several reasons: keeps the skin moist which helps to reduce or remove the incidence of flare-ups. Reducing inflammation, which in turn can aid healing. Inhibiting the growth of harmful bacteria, including Staphylococcus, commonly found on eczema-prone skin. It is extremely imporant to use a manuka honey with at least 15+ UMF. UMF stands for "Unique Manuka Factor", the higher the UMF grade the greater the presence of the unique manuka honey attributes.
Low Grade: UMF5 to UMF9
Medium Grade: UMF10 to UMF15
Superior High Grade: UMF16+
Black Seed Oil:
Black seed oil is rich in antioxidants. Only two oils in the world are known to be extremely effective or potent in fighting microbes, including viruses. One is oregano oil and the other is black seed oil. Black seed oil is loaded with three natural components, which are very beneficial for the human body. The components are thymol, thymoquinone and thymohydroquinone. These components are responsible for the oil’s ability to fight viral, bacterial and even fungal infections. Skin conditions worsen due to microbial infections. By curing the infections, black seed oil treats skin disease such as eczema and rashes. The same components also have the ability to reduce inflammation of the skin and in cleansing of the pores. This is why black seed oil is effective as an acne treatment.
Hemp Seed Oil:
Research has found that hemp contains all of the essential amino acids and essential fatty acids that are necessary for human life. It also contains a unique protein called globule edestin which is similar to globulin in human blood plasma. Hemp seed oil possesses powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
Neem Oil:
Neem is anti-inflammatory, and can reduce the redness and irritation. The two main anti-inflammatory substances in neem are called nimbin and nimbidin, and they have been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties comparable to common non-steroids (phenylbutazone) and steroidal drugs (prednisole).
Neem is also a strong analgesic (pain killer). Some people report instant relief from the excruciating discomfort, as soon as they apply neem salve or cream to eczema skin.
Neem is antibacterial, and can clean up any secondary infections, or even better, prevent them from happening in the first place.
Calendula, comfrey and Plantain Herbs:
I use a solar cold infusion process for three months to safely extract all the properties of the herbs and retain all of it's healing properties. These herbs have amazing anti-inflammatory properties which helps to heal and sooth the eczema or wound.
