Triphala is a staple in traditional Ayurvedic medicine, which is one of the world's oldest medical systems that came from India over 3,000 years ago. It is a mixture of 3 medicinal plants/fruits native to India; Chebulic myrobalan fruit, belleric myrobalan fruit, and amla fruit.
It is most known for it's anti-inflammatory properties. It contains a number of antioxidants, plus vitamin c, flavonoids, polyphenols, tannins, saponins, and other plant compounds. These can help fight stress cause by free radicals, molecules that can damage cells and contribute to chronic disease. It may aid in fighting gingivitis, aid in weigh management, and has been studied for it's uses in preventing diarrhea, reducing stress, anti-aging, promoting eye heath, helping those with type 2 diabetes and heart disease, and more.
